Prey is definitely not brilliant, but it does shine as the latest trend of subscription movie from a top studio. It was like Disney decided to skip doing a Pocahontas remake altogether and just combine it with one of their newly attained Fox franchises. It's R-rated family entertainment; the combo of Indians, aliens, wild animals, and French settlers is bloody entertainment for fifteen-year-olds.
