One thing I had forgotten until I saw it here is that modern movies don't unravel themselves into narrative bizarreness, for example that of the anarcho-fascist oasis in the epilogue of Apocalypse Now. Platform is a high-quality version of The Cube, with fewer dimensions, and a premise that would have had moviegoers vomit in their popcorn bags. It's ambitious indie horror for the PS5 generation.
