Brad plays a brooding character on a deep solar system rescue mission. The film stands out for its pessimistic forecast of American-dominated human society based on the present era. It's a little more glum and believable than what we got in Blade Runner 2049. As a big budget space epic, it has a cartoon side with action and intensity--but there's enough Kubrick isolation to elevate your headspace.
