Norton plays a criminal mind in Primal Fear--he's so young you won't recognize him at first. Gere does great as a pro-bono lawyer. The motive is unclear, but he really is a hero of justice. The mystery unravels into dirty corruption that feels like a Law and Order episode, but the rhythm of the film keeps your heart glued to the screen. Dated like a fine wine, certainly an overlooked classic.
