I saw a TV documentary of this when I was a child. It's so fascinating, even in watching this dramatization 20 years later, I remembered the details. The film convincingly pulls you into the world of prison, and justifies the anti-hero's escape. We all should be relieved that Alcatraz doesn't exist anymore! It's a fun movie with bold characters, with Eastwood leading the flock at his finest.
