"Whisper of the heart" is the most romantic Ghibli film
"Whisper of the heart" was directed by Yoshifumi Kondo and screenplay by Hayao Miyazaki.
This is well-known for a featured song called Country Road that Shizuku writes its lyrics and composes it in the story. Till I saw this film, I didn't know that that music was actually from Ghibli, though I'd listened to it so many times in lots of places before that. Such a fabulous song like the one featured in Kiki's Delivery Service (one of my favourite Ghibli films too).
Let me do the brief summary below.
A junior high school Japanese girl, Shizuku, realises that almost all of the library books have been taken out by a certain boy, Seiji Amasawa and in order to know what he's like, she asks friends or teachers, one of whom rings a bell with the boy's name. He is actually a guy that Shizuku has always grumbled to every time she sees him at school. But he's been trying to achieve his goal like does Shizuku of becoming a writer.
It really focuses on love like between Yuko and Sujimura in the beginning of story and Shizuku and Seiji last but one. I somehow like his confession to her in the very end, which is brilliant. I regard this film as the most romantic Ghibli film ever made. Should've seen this in Japanese with English subtitles, not dubbed one.
