The Fugitive is a grim who-did-it murder mystery with some goofy North by Northwest action and thrills. Tommy Lee Jones is at his finest dramatizing the world of cops--and his integrity makes him the perfect anti-villain. Harrison Ford is also great, sticking with his serious side throughout the movie. The film has a Turing machine plot line almost like out of a Michael Crichton bestseller novel
