エドガー・ノートン（Edgar Norton、1868年8月11日 - 1953年2月6日）は、イングランド生まれのアメリカ合衆国の性格俳優。

経歴

イングランドのロンドンで、1868年8月11日に生まれたノートンは、舞台と映画の両方で活躍し、舞台での活動はロンドンとブロードウェイの双方に及び、ハリウッドにおける映画出演はサイレント映画からトーキーの時代にまで及んだ。30年間の映画出演歴の中で、ノートンは少なくとも90本以上の作品に出演していた。大方の見解では、ノートンの代表的な役柄は、古典的作品である1931年の映画『ジキル博士とハイド氏 (Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde)』におけるジキル博士の執事プール (Poole) だとされており、この役柄は、ノートンが1898年からずっと舞台で、ジギル役のリチャード・マンスフィールドを相手に演じ続けていたものであった。ノートンは、1953年2月に、ロサンゼルスの地区で死去した。
