A hybrid of Apocalypto, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Rambo in this vengeance tale set in the plains of Nazi-occupied Finland. In the wake of Deadpool and Black Adam, folklore has returned to immortals and watching how they win but without metered poetry. As a grindhouse flick it really does the bloody job. Handsome color correction adds to the sensibility. The film has no shame in its cartoony self.
