「光と闇　Light and Darkness」ホワイトバード　はじまりのワンダー　新米エヴァンゲリストさんの映画レビュー（感想・評価）

前作は観ていない。

現在のように個人が告発するツールを持たない時代
ある意味、好き放題にできたことを
改めて確認。

ドイツの侵略が徐々に迫り
最初の約束事が簡単に
何の説明もないまま放棄され、
ユダヤ人たちが
突然、街中で拉致され移送されていく。

移送の仕方も大雑把だったんだろうなと想像する。

拉致、拘束、移送、処刑が
一見システマチックに見えて
あまりにも雑すぎるのが
見ていて苦しい。

それを生々しく描くことで、
主人公の少女とかくまう人たちの交流が際立つ。

ジョナサン・グレイザー監督の
映画「関心領域」と
同じ世界線と想像すると
人間の持つ両面性を考えてしまう。

本作はそれとは全く逆の内容。
負の側面があるからこそ、
主人公の少女と同級生の交流が
人間らしさの表現を際立たせている。

現在も世界のどこかで起きているかもしれない。
そんなことを考えた。
I haven’t seen the previous work.

In an era when individuals did not have tools to speak out, as they do today,
it’s a stark reminder of how people could do as they pleased to some extent.

As Germany’s invasion gradually approached,
initial promises were easily and inexplicably abandoned,
and Jewish people were suddenly abducted and transported from the streets.

I imagine the way they were transported was also quite rough.

The abduction, detention, transportation, and execution
appear systematic at first glance,
but the sheer crudeness of it all is painful to watch.

By depicting these events in raw detail,
the interactions between the protagonist, a young girl,
and those who hide her stand out even more.

When I imagine it taking place in the same world as Jonathan Glazer’s film The Zone of Interest,
it forces me to think about the duality of human nature.

This work, however, is the complete opposite.
It’s because of the negative aspects that
the interactions between the young girl and her classmates
stand out as an expression of humanity.

It made me think: this might still be happening somewhere in the world today.
