Louis Wain has a pleasantly misleading title, it's not about one of Tesla or Edison's scientific contemporaries, but rather that of one of their generation's eccentrist artists. Credited with creating psychedelic art before psychedelia, his charicatures of walking and talking cats perhaps instilled the creature's status in human life. Cumberbatch shows once again his affinity for singular roles.
