The Sisters Brothers continues the brooding mood and sharp attention to reality that made Dheepan and The Prophet such standalone films. The film centers two Wild West larcenist murderers and their cunning evasion of justice. The quadruple all-star cast of O'Reilly, Gyllenhaal, Phoenix, and Ahmed had me wondering how this escaped my attention until it popped up on Netflix. A dark but fine film.
