「A One Act Play Film, Disturbing in Simplicity」ロープ Dan Knightonさんの映画レビュー(感想・評価)
A One Act Play Film, Disturbing in Simplicity
Rope is a talky one-room house party presented in almost real time. The bourgeois villain protagonist pair pull a demented stunt under their guests noses for their own self-pleasure. A brief homosexual undertone as a hint of motivation might make the film seem a little homophobic in the Zizekian sense, but it's easy to look past that for Hitchcock's genuine craft of decently portrayed vulgarity.
