No aspiring filmmaker should miss their homework on watching the all-nonsense horror/comedy classic House. It is a psychedelic masterpiece in playful story, sound design, cinematography, and editing, with some famous Japanese actors and musicians featured within. It's gravure idol-like cast is not spared from the male gaze, but far from the exploitative nature of other "pink films" of the era.
