One of my favorite sci-fi films. Nearly two decades later and the world feels like its unfolding into the film's prophecy. In Cuaron's bleak England he still lets us have fun in this plot that's linearly paced like a video game. Clive Owen and Chiwetel Ejiofor are the perfect face-off sparring pair, and Michael Caine's refuge would be a futuristic dream home. Inappropriately stylish for Hollywood.
