「子供の頃の不思議な緊張感の裏側The Strange Tension I Felt as a Child—Its Hidden Meaning」ブルーボーイ事件　新米エヴァンゲリストさんの映画レビュー（感想・評価）

パンフレットを見ると、
実際の裁判は
自分が生まれる4年前（1965）に
この裁判が始まり、
生まれる年（1969）に判決が出ている。

この史実に着想を得たフィクション
という位置付けだけれど
出来事の本質を伝えている。

自分が生まれる頃、
まだ学生運動も盛んで、
生まれた日の新聞の見出しを
プリントするサービスで見ても
今よりも物騒な時代。

その中で自分の性について
ずれを感じ、
苦しんでいる人たちが
この様な目にあっていたんだと
恥ずかしながら初めて知った。

マツコさんやナジャさんをはじめとする
ドラァグクイーンがメディアで活躍し、
時に社会へ苦言を呈し、
時に人を癒やし励ましている。

木曜の夜のドラマで
女性同士が付き合っているカップルが登場し
日曜の夜のドラマで
心優しきゲイが主人公で、彼らの恋が
フラットに描かれ、
大河ドラマでは主人公に恋をする
絵師が重要な役割として登場する。

60年近く経って、
時代がこれだけ変わった。

今振り返ると
子供の頃、テレビに性転換した
カルーセル麻紀さんが出ていたのを覚えている。
最初は性転換した人とは分からず
そのうち、身体を女性にした男性と理解した。

男性でもない女性でもない
その不思議な雰囲気と
出演時の独特な緊張感は
記憶の底に残っている。

昨年1984年と2024年の間だけでも
これだけ変わったという
コメディドラマが話題だったけど
この映画は60年前を扱っている。

ここで描かれた世間や
裁判の様子はかなりマイルドで、
実際はもっと
キツイ表現の言葉が飛び交っていたと思われる。
それでも今の人が見れば、
「なんて酷い」と感じると思う。

実際に性転換で女性になった
中川未悠さんを主演に据え
他メインもジェンダーレスなキャストで望んでいる。
その成果は確かにあって、
本物が芝居をすることで、
彼ら彼女らが抱える、
理解されづらい悲しみが
確かな説得力を持って表現されていた。

だからこそ
その苦しんだ人たちの道の先に
確実に、今の令和があると思えた。

本当に偶然だけどこの映画の前に
【君の顔では泣けない】を観て
2本ハシゴしてしまったので、
これを書きながら、少々混乱している。

この2本とも自らの性に違和感を感じる事が
テーマになっていて、
お互いの性の事を
自分たちの言葉で語ることが
大事なテーマになっているからだ。

可能ならばどちらも観て欲しいと思いました。

According to the pamphlet, the real trial began in 1965, four years before I was born, and the verdict was handed down in 1969—the very year I was born.

It’s presented as fiction inspired by historical fact, yet it clearly conveys the essence of what happened.

When I was born, the student movement was still active, and even looking at the newspaper headlines from the day of my birth—there’s a service that prints them for you—you can see it was a far more dangerous time than today.

In that era, people who felt a mismatch in their own gender and suffered because of it were subjected to things like this.
I’m embarrassed to say that I only learned this now.

Today, drag queens like Matsuko Deluxe and Naja Grandiva appear in the media, sometimes criticizing society, sometimes soothing and encouraging people.

On Thursday-night dramas, female couples appear as a matter of course.
On Sunday nights, a gentle-hearted gay man stars as the protagonist, and his love story is portrayed completely flatly—without sensationalism.
Even in the yearlong historical drama, an artist who falls for the protagonist appears in a major role.

Nearly sixty years have passed, and society has changed this much.

Looking back, I remember seeing Carousel Maki—who had undergone sex reassignment surgery—on TV when I was a child. At first, I didn’t realize she was transgender, and eventually I understood her as “a man who had made his body female.”

That indescribable atmosphere—neither male nor female—and the peculiar tension that surrounded her appearances remain deep in my memory.

Last year, a comedy drama about how much society changed just between 1984 and 2024 became a hot topic.
But this film deals with events from sixty years ago.

The way society and the trial are depicted in the film is quite mild; in reality, far harsher words must have been thrown around. Even so, viewers today will likely think, “How awful.”

The film casts Miyu Nakagawa—who is herself a transgender woman—in the lead, and the other main roles are also performed by genderless or gender-diverse actors.
This choice absolutely pays off.
By having “the real thing” perform these roles, the sorrow they carry—sorrow that is so hard for others to understand—is portrayed with undeniable conviction.

And that is precisely why I felt that the long, painful path these people walked leads directly to the Reiwa era we now live in.

By pure coincidence, I watched I Can’t Cry With Your Face right before this film and ended up watching two in a row, so I’m a bit confused as I write this.

Both films deal with characters who feel discomfort with their own gender, and both emphasize the importance of speaking about each other’s identity in their own words.
