Modern Alienation
La Bête is a critique on the Western world's love of tech, done with a tongue-in-cheek approach reminiscent of films like The Square or Bad Luck Banging. There is a sci-fi narrative that parallels Je T'aime, Je T'aime in its scenes that jump across time and space. Its focus on an LA incel vlogger and gunman is characteristic of what a late Godard film might have been. It's funny to think it is based on a 1903 novella.
