Features the agonizing confinement of all prison movies, but the film has interesting historical perspective. Watching this film, I realized the same amount of time passed between the end of World War II and the lunar landing as has since the release of the first iPhone and now. Makes you think how much has changed when less than 100 years ago being gay was illegal. Cinematically appealing style.
