Thanks to Deming's photography, Menu is alluring one-room thriller, a hint of Fincher's Panic Room with an adult Willy Wonka's game of judgment in the realm of fine dining. The descent into murderous chaos is nearly an eye-rolling cliche, but Fiennes might be one of the greatest villain actors after James Earl Jones' voice. It could be a self-proclaimed masterpiece for producer Will Ferrell.
