I feel like I have written a fair amount of reviews on films exploring the Holocaust this year. Perhaps the standoff in Europe which has now erurpted into warfare has effected bringing this apprehension to the fore. Babi Yar, about a Ukranian Kristallnacht in Nazis' domain of the nation in 1941, is a dark, disconcerting documentary evoking the poignant monochrome nature of Bella Tarr. Saddens.
