Coda is the story of a a deaf family's hearing daughter. The father is a fisherman, and when the local feudal lord toughens working conditions, her service is needed. But her pursuit for a music academy becomes an obstacle. It sounds like a Disney movie, but it's more like Sound of Metal mixed with Manchester by the Sea. A welcome film for exploring society's inclusion of the deaf community.
