I often ponder what my purpose in life is, but I seldom take the time to acknowledge that for an entire region of people on this planet, an immediate concern is finding a home with running water that isn't getting artillery shelled. Midnight Traveler is the smartphone-told tale of a filmmaker's escape from the Taliban to Europe. Perhaps the best film showing the crisis from the inside out.
