Basis of Sex is one of those films that convinces this era may well be the best time to be alive. The recently deceased US Supreme Court Justice Ruth takes up a small case to make a whopping change in the established role of women in Western society. It does beg some questions as to how women were treated at the time elsewhere, but certainly, only in forty, fifty years, we have come a long way.
