This story of a family's deconstruction in a mountain resort is a Neo-Shining master work with all the finer points of European arthouse. A literary observation of the human psyche when confronted with a life-threatening event. There's humor and sarcasm in its pessimistic tale--a stalker-like hotel janitor feels like a caricature of the director's own insecurities. It makes lemonade out of lemons.
