「これが28年前の作品なのかI can’t believe this film came out 28 years ago.」もののけ姫　新米エヴァンゲリストさんの映画レビュー（感想・評価）

公開の時は、
おそらく忙しくて観に行けず、
テレビ放映も、途切れ途切れにしか観ておらず
IMAXでの再上映が始まったのを聞きつけて
ちゃんと観た。

宮崎駿さんは嫌がるのかもしれないが
今、この今こそ、全世界が観るべき。
期間限定でも良いから、
それこそあらゆるサブスクで
この「もののけ姫」を観るべきだと
正直、そう思った。

IMAXの公開は、どこもすぐ満席で
平日の15時から
万博公園の109シネマズ大阪エキスポシティで
かろうじて空いてた。
他は夜は軒並みほぼ満席になっている。

可能ならばみんな観て。

27年前の作品とは思えない内容。
ストーリーと
多々良場の描写のクオリティに唸ってしまった。

28年前ですら
宮崎駿監督が危機感を持って
この作品を作ったんだとしたら
今はもっとやばい事になっている。

とにかくみんな観よう。

When it was first released, I was probably too busy to see it in theaters.
Even on TV, I’d only caught bits and pieces—never the whole thing.
But when I heard about the IMAX re-release, I finally watched it properly.

Hayao Miyazaki might not like to hear this,
but now, more than ever, this is the film the entire world needs to see.
Even if only for a limited time,
I honestly believe Princess Mononoke should be available on every streaming platform.

Tickets for the IMAX screenings sold out almost instantly.
I barely managed to find an open seat for a 3 p.m. weekday show
at 109 Cinemas Osaka Expo City in Banpaku Park.
All the evening screenings were completely full.

If you can, please—go see it.

It’s hard to believe this film is 27 years old.
The story, the world-building, and especially the craftsmanship
in the depiction of Tatara Ba (the ironworks village) left me speechless.

If Miyazaki made this film 28 years ago out of a sense of crisis,
then things are far more serious now.

In any case—everyone should see it.
