A heavy prison drama about inmates rehabilitating through theater, Sing Sing was one of the Best Picture snubs at the Oscars. Colman Domingo is well-deserving of his acting nomination. As the story centers around auditions for Hamlet, the Shakespearian energy pervades the narrative, reflecting the characters' struggles as if they are manifested from the scripts in their hands. Such is the power of acting.
