An essay documentary on a 20th century novelist who wrote the source material for some Oscar-nominated films. An LGBT figure in hindsight, her singular personality is shown to affix the mysterious nature of her writings. Her curiousity about letting go of morals demonstrated the psychological interepidity a writer needs to imagine the mind of a killer. Interesting even if you don't know her name.
