John Wick is the recipe for campy action cheese, but somehow Reeves' production is sleek and stylish with a tinge of anime aura that allots taking the film much more seriously than anybody would anticipate. You might ask why it is so long, but fun characters come and go like a Tarantino film. Not to mention, a quickdraw duel chapter might be the best since the finale in Kubrick's Barry Lyndon.
