A tale of a lost man caught in a Venus fly trap with mortal consequences. The film has the quirk of Hitchcock film; You might think you are in the same mansion as Rebecca. The plot of a needy man in servitude to a royal middle aged woman might feel like an allegory to some. Art for art's sake at times. You can feel the speed of the Hollywood ages passing by in this time capsule-in-a-time capsule.
