ゾンビーズ（）は、1961年に結成されたイギリスのソフト・ロック・バンド、ビート・グループである。「シーズ・ノット・ゼア」「テル・ハー・ノー」「ふたりのシーズン」などのヒット曲で知られている。セカンド・アルバムの『オデッセイ・アンド・オラクル』は、ローリング・ストーンが大規模なアンケートを参照した「オールタイム・ベストアルバム500」で100位にランクイン。
来歴
1961年4月にキーボーディストのロッド・アージェントを中心にロンドン郊外のセント・アルバーンズで結成。当初はバンド名を「the Mustangs（ムスタングス）」にする予定だったが、既に同名のバンドが存在していたため、ポール・アーノルドが提案した「ゾンビーズ」に決まった。後にアーノルドは医者を志すために脱退し、クリス・ホワイトが加入。
「イブニング・ニュース」紙主催の「ハートビート･コンテスト」で優勝し、デッカ・レコードと契約。1964年にシングル「」でデビューし、全英12位、全米2位を記録し、大ヒットとなった。当時のブリティッシュ・インヴェイジョンの波に乗ってアメリカにも上陸し、1965年には「テル・ハー・ノー」（全英42位・全米6位）をヒットチャートに送り込んだ。チャート成績からも分かるように、バンドは基本的に本国イギリスよりもアメリカで高い人気を博した。
しかし人気は長続きせず、1966年に入ると早くもシングルヒットは途絶えてしまう。 1967年にCBSレコードに移籍。1968年に発表したアルバム『オデッセイ・アンド・オラクル』はメロトロンを大幅に導入するなど意欲的な作品であったが、制作途中からバンド内の人間関係が悪化し、完成とほぼ同時にバンドは解散してしまう。ところが、当時米CBSのプロデューサーであったアル・クーパーの進言によりアメリカでシングルカットされた「」が翌1969年に大ヒット（全米3位）。レコード会社の度重なる要請や、偽物バンドの出現にもかかわらず、ロッドの決意は固く、再結成はされなかった。
日本では、67年にザ・カーナビーツが「好きさ好きさ好きさ（アイ・ラブ・ユー）」を日本語でカヴァーしてデビュー、ヒットを記録している。
その後、ボーカリストのコリン・ブランストーンはソロ・アーティストに、アージェントは自身の名を冠した新バンド「アージェント」を結成。1977年、1989年の一時的なものをのぞいてパーマネントな再結成はなかったが、2004年になってアージェントはコリンとのデュオによるゾンビーズ名義のアルバムをリリース。現在もライブで活動中。
来日公演は、2001年にコリンとロッドのデュオが、2010年にコリン、2011年と2012年 2015年にはゾンビーズ名義で行った。
2019年には、ロックの殿堂入りを果たした。
