The story of a late widow who begins an illicit affair with her neighbor, only to find herself in a nearly vegetative state, sheltered by family. Follows a trend in some of the finer high-art films themed on homosexuality that feature a looming ominousness. An anxiety felt in the real world, but hard to define with words. Unanswerable and better illustrated with the sights and sounds of film.
