The Coen Brothers are among the best filmmakers in history; its nice to finally see one of them show his individual chops. The language of Shakespeare plays are difficult yet watching is always a rewarding exercise to one's intellgence. Tragedy is far less an interpreation than a highly artistic expression. Washington is in prime form. The black and white is boosted by the film's swift pace.
