they are seemingly impossible to solve, when Man ventures to

円谷プロもアイデアを取り入れたかった60年代を代表するSci-Fi ドラマの傑作『The Outer Limits』．．．　そのseason 2 Episode 16 『The Premonition』での冒頭のナレーション。
タイムパラドックスを逆手に取った内容が、ハッピーエンドの数少ないこの番組での特異性が強調されていた。その内容を簡単に説明すると掛けがえのない我が子を必死で救おうとする若い両親が描かれていた。それはキングの『ランゴリアーズ』に通じるところがある。本作とは別に関係はありませんけどタイムワープ繋がりの座興として．．．　何か？

本作『57秒　復讐のタイムループ』の話に戻ると
話の内容から、直ぐに1993年の映画、乗りに乗っていたビル・マレー主演の同じ時を繰り返す『恋はデジャ・ブ』．．．　あたしは原題の『Groundhog Day』より実際は一度も体験したことがないのに、すでにどこかで体験したことのように感じる現象からあやかった邦題の方が気に入ってます。（wiki 参照）

who wants to live there?

っていうのが、この映画のモチーフです。

とにもかくにも．．．
多くの評論家が、ガラクタ映画として酷評をしている。でもあたしは楽しく見ることができたし、飽きないで見ることもできた．．．　脳ミソウニにとっては、良かったです。

最後に前出の『The Premonition』のいつも番組の終わりのナレーションより

Man is forever solving the most perplexing problems as
he ventures ever further into the unknown. But where
are the outer limits of his ingenuity? Will he ever
encounter a problem, a Gordian Knot, which he cannot
ultimately cut?
