「力を持った時、どのように振る舞うかHow One Acts When They Have Power」トワイライト・ウォリアーズ　決戦！九龍城砦　新米エヴァンゲリストさんの映画レビュー（感想・評価）

NHKのあさイチで三谷幸喜さんがゲストの時
映画紹介のコーナーで、
紹介されて知る。

その影響か、客席はほぼ満席。

肉体的に強い、
闘いにも強い、
総合格闘技に出たら、
みんな優勝するんじゃないか的な
男達の物語。

その持った力をどう使うかの対比を
興味深く観た。

その力に知性とか哲学が無ければ、
ただの乱暴者であり荒くれ者で
ただただ迷惑でしかない。

逆に、その力に
知性や哲学、優しさがあれば、
市井の弱いものを守る砦となり武器となる。

その対比はこれでもかと
わかりやすく描かれていた。

自分の能力の器を越えた力を手に入れると
普通の人は狂うし、
その力を行使したくなる。

登場人物の一人は、
自らの器の大きさを見誤り、
力の使い方を間違えて狂った。
しかし、その実、小心者で、
自らの力に溺れ、
身を滅ぼす。

それは過去にも起こっていて、
物語の静かな通奏低音になっている。

今や大人から子供まで
自らの器を超えた力を手に入れる事ができて
指先一つで、人の人生を
完膚なきまでに壊す事ができる。

でもその力はやがて自分に返って来るのだ。
観終わった後、そんなことを考えた。

I first learned about this movie when Koki Mitani was a guest on NHK’s Asaichi. It was introduced in the movie recommendation segment, and perhaps because of that, the theater was nearly full.

The story revolves around men who are physically strong, skilled in combat, and would likely win any mixed martial arts tournament.

I watched with great interest how the film contrasted the ways in which these men wielded their power.

If one possesses strength without intelligence or philosophy, they are nothing more than a brute, a reckless troublemaker who brings only chaos.

On the other hand, if that strength is accompanied by intelligence, philosophy, and kindness, it becomes a shield to protect the weak and a weapon for justice.

This contrast was depicted in an incredibly clear and striking manner.

When an ordinary person gains power beyond their capacity, they tend to lose themselves and become eager to exercise it.

One of the characters in the film misjudged the size of his own capacity, abused his power, and descended into madness. Yet deep down, he was nothing but a coward, drowning in his own strength, which ultimately led to his downfall.

The same thing had happened in the past, serving as a quiet yet persistent undertone throughout the story.

Today, people of all ages have access to power beyond their own capacity. With just a flick of a finger, they can utterly destroy another person’s life.

But in the end, that power will always come back to them.

As I left the theater, that thought lingered in my mind.
