「境界の向こう側の世界との出会い　Encounters with the world beyond the boundary」めくらやなぎと眠る女　2nd Life Storiesさんの映画レビュー（感想・評価）

短編小説を繋ぎ合わせているオムニバス映画で、わかりやすい物語があるわけではありません。しかし、現実との境界があいまいないな日常が描かれている点が一貫しています。

境界の向こう側の世界との”出会い”には共通点があります。
それは平凡な日常に突如現れる点です。自分が望んだわけでもわけでも、意図したわけでもないのに。また、その非日常が、彼らの人生に少なからず影響を与え続ける点です。

出会いの場では時間が止まっています。
多くの現代人は未来を生きており、時間が止まることはありません。一方、映画の中で選ばれたのは、未来に希望や夢を持てない人々です。その代わり彼らは、現在を生きる特権を持っているように思えます。彼らの表情には、癖という以上のある種の絶望が刻まれています。そんな彼らにこそ向こう側の世界が開かれる。

この映画は、よく村上ワールドが表現されていると思います。
また、夢の続きのように出来事を並べることで、境界やその向こう側を描いていて、監督のオリジナリティも感じられます。

何よりも触発されました。良い映画です。

This is an omnibus film that connects short stories, so there isn’t a straightforward narrative. However, it consistently depicts a daily life where the boundary with reality is ambiguous.

There is a commonality in the “encounters” with the world beyond the boundary.
They suddenly appear in ordinary daily life. It is neither desired nor intended by the individuals. Moreover, these extraordinary events continue to have a significant impact on their lives.

In the place of encounter, time stands still.
Many modern people live in the future, and time never stops. On the other hand, the people chosen in the film are those who cannot hold hope or dreams for the future. Instead, they seem to have the privilege of living in the present. Their expressions are etched with a certain kind of despair beyond mere habit. It is to these people that the world beyond opens up.

I think this film well expresses the “Murakami world.”
By arranging events like a continuation of a dream, it depicts the boundary and the world beyond, and you can feel the director’s originality.

Above all, I was inspired. I think it’s a good film.
