Intercontinental train travel is where one feels insignificance as the size of the world moves by. Laura is a Finn on a train on her way to study some old calligraphy in Northwest Russia. She ends up roomed with an obnoxiously drunk man, but with no other place to sleep, must bite the bullet. The film wants to have us defy expectations, in an era it sees bent on hard-coding our behavior.
