「岩田剛典さんがちゃんと気持ち悪くて面白かったTakanori Iwata Was Perfectly Gross—in the Best Way Possible」金髪　新米エヴァンゲリストさんの映画レビュー（感想・評価）

本当に岩田剛典さん演じる
主人公の話だった。

幾つかの作品で、
岩田さんが色んな役をやるのは観ていた。
個人的に近々で印象に残るのは
【虎に翼】でのモデルが実在した役で
闇市を取り締まる立場だったため
決まりを守り餓死した人物。

ダンスからは程遠いイメージだった。
最初、女性に対する偏見があったけれど
最後には主人公と分かり合える友になる。

閑話休題

今回の役は、
ちゃんと気持ち悪くて
でも何処かに、何処でも居そうで
その世代の男性の抱える問題を体現している。
ちゃんと自分本位で
でも根っからの悪人じゃない。

ある意味普通の人。
それに関して違和感が全くないというのは
岩田剛典さんの俳優としての凄さを感じた。

主人公の振る舞いは
自分が同じ年齢だった頃を思い出して
胸に手を当てれば・・・。

今のこの令和の時代の
男性の生きにくい部分を
この金髪を通して描いていた様に思う。

行政の描き方は
薄寒いくらいリアルさを感じたので
わかっている人が監修に入ったんだろうか？

シニカルなコメディとしては
今までにないものに感じた。

This really was the protagonist’s story, played by Takanori Iwata.

I’d seen Iwata in several works before.
Most recently, the role that left the strongest impression on me was his character in Tora ni Tsubasa—a role based on a real person who oversaw black-market crackdowns after the war, a man who followed the rules so strictly he ultimately starved to death.
It was a role completely detached from his dancer image.

At first, his character held prejudices against women.
But by the end, he becomes a friend who understands the protagonist.
But I digress.

In this film, his character is properly unpleasant,
and yet somehow familiar—
the kind of man you could find anywhere,
embodying the struggles faced by men of his generation.

He’s undeniably self-centered,
yet not an irredeemably bad person.
In a way, he’s just an ordinary guy.
And the fact that this feels completely natural
made me realize how impressive Iwata is as an actor.

The protagonist’s behavior reminded me of myself when I was his age.
If I put my hand on my heart and really think back…

Using “Kinpatsu” as a symbolic motif,
the film portrays the difficulties men face
in today’s Reiwa era.

The portrayal of government agencies felt
chillingly realistic—
so realistic that I wondered whether someone knowledgeable
had supervised those scenes.

As a cynical comedy,
this film felt like something we haven’t really seen before.
