The film Lee presents Lee Miller as a woman ahead of the curve. The city slicker Vogue photographer was one of the first women in Western society to walk into the battlefield in uniform. She faces resistance from fellow soldiers but also some unanticipated support. I wasn't aware of her famous photo in Hitler's bathtub on the day of his downfall, but is an interesting story. A historically accurate pairing to last year's war photographer doc, Civil War.
