「うーん」アオショー！　新米エヴァンゲリストさんの映画レビュー（感想・評価）

自らの立場は
高校の時は、
朝日のコンクールは三年とも全国大会に出て、
1年の時は銅賞、
2年の時は銀賞
3年の時は金賞で、日本一、
NHKは3年の時、全国大会で銀賞
という経験をしてきました。

大学でも合唱をしてきて、
指揮者もやり、
その後、周囲からはプロと呼ばれる団体で
仕事しながら、30年くらい
合唱音楽に、クラシックに歌い手として
携わってきました。

本作の元になった舞台は見ていません。

その前提で、
音楽部分、演奏部分、
コンクールのパートに
リアリティはゼロでした。

舞台なので人間ドラマ
コメディがメインだと理解しても
合唱部分は、本当に添え物だと
感じてしまいました。
別に合唱じゃなくても成立するという意味で。

同時に周囲からの合唱への理解は
この程度なんだろうなと
改めて思い至りました。

多分やってない人にとっては、
どこが変なんだ？
なんだろうなとも。

少なくとも、
この映画を観て
合唱やろうとは思わないかな。

多分少し怒ってるのかもしれません。

In high school, I sang in the Asahi choral competition all three years, making it to the national stage each time—bronze in my first year, silver in the second, and finally gold in the third, earning the top spot in Japan. In my senior year, our choir also won silver at the NHK national competition.

I carried that passion into university, continued singing in choirs, even took up conducting, and then spent the next three decades singing with ensembles that many around me would call “professional.” Choral music and classical performance have been at the center of my life for over thirty years.

So, with that background, I came to this film. I never saw the stage play it’s based on, but I have to say—the musical and competition scenes had zero realism. Even understanding that the focus here is on human drama and comedy, the choral portions felt like pure window dressing. Honestly, the story could have worked without choir at all.

And maybe that’s the point—it reminded me just how little real understanding of choir there is outside our world. For those who haven’t experienced it, I imagine nothing would seem “off” at all.

At the very least, this isn’t the kind of movie that makes you want to join a choir. If anything, I caught myself feeling a bit angry about it.
