「登場人物のキャラクターがつぎはぎだらけのようThe characters felt like patchwork」ウィキッド　ふたりの魔女　新米エヴァンゲリストさんの映画レビュー（感想・評価）

観ていて「え？」となる時があった。
アヴァンタイトルの後、
「Wicked」の右下にちっちゃく【Part1】
と出て、「え？」。

映像も、俳優の方々も、
美術も素晴らしい。

しかし、
登場人物のキャラクターに
ずっと戸惑っていた。

たくさんの人の意見が後ろに見えて、
それぞれが納得するセリフと動きで決めたんじゃないか？
と個人的には感じてしまって、
観ていて、いちいち引っかかってしまって、
集中できなかった。
場面ごとに人が違って見えるレベル。

中程で、図書室で
本を踏みつけて踊る場面で
「え？（怒）」
となって、さーっと冷めてしまった。

登場人物の中で一貫性があると感じたのは、
ヤギの教授と、ボックだけだった。

見せ場のVFXは素晴らしい。
歌も音楽も素晴らしい。

しかし登場人物の一貫性で引っかかった身としては
ラストのエルファバとグリンダの袂を分つシーンは
あまりピンと来なかった。

で最後「to be continued 」
「え？」
だからPart1？
おいおい予告編で、映画館での宣伝で
1ミリでも言ってたか？

半年くらいずっと映画館で
幕間に宣伝してたけど、
二部作って1ミリでも言ってたか？

なんかハリウッドって大変なんだな、
と「キャプテンアメリカ」に次いで思った。

脚本はやりたいように書けているのか、
監督は思い通りに演出できているのか
心配になった。

There were moments while watching when I just went, “Huh?”
Right after the opening sequence,
the word “Wicked” appeared—and in tiny letters at the bottom right, [Part 1].
Again I thought, “Huh?”

The visuals, the cast, and the production design were all stunning.

But I kept feeling confused about the characters.

It felt like there were too many opinions behind the scenes,
and that every line and movement had been adjusted to satisfy everyone.
Personally, that’s how it came across—
and because of that, I kept getting pulled out of the story,
unable to stay immersed.
It was to the point where the characters felt like different people in each scene.

About halfway through, there was that scene in the library
where they were dancing and stomping on books—
and I thought, “What?! (Angry)”
That really killed the mood for me.

The only characters that felt consistent
were the goat professor and Boq.

The VFX in the key scenes were amazing.
The singing and music were excellent too.

But since I was already distracted by the lack of character consistency,
the final scene where Elphaba and Glinda part ways
just didn’t land emotionally for me.

And then, at the end—“To be continued”
“Huh?”
So that’s why it was Part 1?

Come on—did the trailers or any of the in-theater promotions
even hint that this was a two-part movie?

They’ve been running those ads in theaters for like six months,
and not once did they mention it was going to be split into two.

It just made me think—again, like I did with “Captain America”—
that Hollywood must really be going through a tough time right now.

It makes me worry:
Are screenwriters allowed to write freely?
Can directors really direct the way they want?
