米NBCで94年～04年まで放送された大ヒットシットコム。ニューヨーク・マンハッタンで暮らす男女6人の恋愛、友情をコミカルに描き、主人公レイチェルを演じた女優ジェニファー・アニストンが本作をきっかけにブレイクした。舞台の大半はグリニッチ・ビレッジにあるアパートのモニカの部屋、廊下を挟んだ向かいのチャンドラーの部屋、またはアパートの近所にあるカフェ“セントラル・パーク”で、6人はたいていの時間をここで過ごす。
