The second installment of the vigilante film Equalizer is quite a step up from the first, with Denzel’s lead finding himself promoted from hardware store community guy to global spy-grade badass. There are dark reflections into the good and bad minds of vigilantes, more Freudian than you might expect. The finale mixes a small town shootoutwith a digital hurricane for efficiently executed blockbuster results.
